“If the world is to be healed through human efforts, I am convinced it will be by ordinary people, people whose love for this life is even greater than their fear. People who can open to the web of life that called us into being.”
– Joanna Macy
Our world is going through such big transitions right now, and by relation, so are we. At moments life may feel overwhelming or unmanageable.
- Have you wondered, when will I ever be able to slow down and do things that really matter now?
- Do you feel disconnected from earth? From yourself? From your joy? From others?
- Do you remember when you felt connected?
⌘ At Lotus Arts Farm Sanctuary…
our aim is to provide a place and practices for you to reconnect with yourself, with earth and with others; human and animal.
Winter 2023 Youth Program
Programs are interconnected like spokes in a wheel and include: Regenerative farming practices, partnership with animals, expressive arts, celebration and community.
⌘ Our Mission
Lotus Arts Farm Sanctuary provides farm and nature-based programs for individuals and families seeking renewal, balance and greater connection to community and the earth. Through experiences on the land, learning to grow food through regenerative farm practices, practices in self-care and expression through the creative arts, participants are restored to a greater sense of wholeness, belonging and purpose. We believe that as we heal ourselves, so we heal the earth.
Testimonials
“When I signed up to attend a workshop with Lotus Arts Farm Sanctuary it was at a time when I found myself desperately in need of reconnecting- with myself, with others, with the earth. I was unsure what to expect from the day, not sure if I would feel awkward or uncomfortable in a group of new faces. I was put at ease as soon as I arrived with warm welcomes from Ellie and Sylvana, gently and skillfully guiding each of us into this community we would create over the following few hours. We worked together, tending to the earth, listened to Sylvana’s beautiful earth motherly drumming and joined her in song, were guided in reflection with Ellie’s gentle and authentic words, reminding us of our connectedness to the earth through ritual and creativity. The profound reflections and inspiration that came from a day filled with such lightness and laughter made the day feel magical. I left that day feeling more whole, more alive, and more hopeful than I had in a very long time.”
– Addie, MA
“Ellie and Sylvana are wonderful, highly skilled guides into the world where Art and Nature are one. Through farming activities and drawing, singing and yoga the group members bonded and healed.
I left the circle refreshed and renewed, taking new insights home in my heart. Ready for more!”
– Bronwen, MA
“You carry Mother Earth within you.
She is not outside of you.
Mother Earth is not just your environment.
In that insight of inter-being, it is possible to have real communication with the Earth,
which is the highest form of prayer.”
– Thich Nhat Hanh
